#loveletter 7
7 Like lyrics we’ve heard a million times, we find the parts we know by heart, and sing out loud, our bodies and voices increasing in volume. We revel in these moments. And when we hit the parts we’re unsure of, we mumble our way through, hum, or make up the words, until we circle our way back to the chorus. We’ve yet to stop singing, because this is our song. #loveletter 6
When we open, we are at our most vulnerable and most secure, the tentacles of our souls entwined and wriggling like ravenous mouths…insatiable. Lately, though, we have been disconnected. We are slippery, falling between fingers that struggle to grip, frustrated by the effort but never willing to stop. During these darker seasons, Love and Will hold us together, saving us. #loveletter 5
5 Our love is not easy, curled up like cats on quiet cushions. It is a tempest, a growling sky of swirling clouds that leaves its signature in strewn debris. But after our storms, worn waves sleep. The ebb and flow of our blended inhales and exhales leaves our souls splayed. #loveletter 4
4 We protect our ruin as a precious dig, so much of worth to be found under layers of dirt…broken shards to fashion a mosaic of unspoilable memories. This is our beautiful mess…a gallery-worthy collection of love’s evidence. #loveletter 3
3 Like doting parents at a child’s concert, we are simultaneously drawn to and pained by the flickering lack of tone and beat, the flaws and pauses, the moments of confusion. I got THE cutest set from adoreme.com this month. And I had planned to work in a photo session before Halloween, because…hello! This is soooo in season, thematically. BUT, things have just not been quite ON recently. Mr. D started working nights at the beginning of September, and I went back to work full time, started my internship, and went back to school. It’s meant more on my plate at home and as a parent, as well. I taxi my son from sport to sport pretty much every week night. I finally put my foot down on Fridays, so I’d have a chance to get drinks with friends. But my…

#loveletter 2
2 Our rhythm is an unnameable hunger, unintentionally clumsy at times, silk-smooth at others: a lop-sided discordance of desire. #EROBLOPOMO2021 Theme: #loveletter
#EROBLOPOMO begins tomorrow. So today is theme announcement day! I’m giving myself a building challenge this year – to write a love letter in 30 parts. I’ll start with 10 words on day one, then 20 on day two, 30 on day three… This is not only intended as baby steps to get me back into the writing game, but also as a challenge to pack every perfect word into each tiny, daily package. Sometimes, writing less is more, and it can definitely be more challenging. On the 1st of December, I’ll post the letter in it’s entirety. Tune in tomorrow for the first #loveletter post.

#EROBLOPOMO 2021
It’s that time again! Every year, NANOWRIMO (National Novel Writing Month) hangs over my head, making me, as a writer, feel like a bit of an unmotivated heel. So…last year, I came up with #EROBLOPOMO. (Yes, there is already a NABLOPOMO, but as a sex blogger, I always feel a bit uncomfortable coming to these vanilla writing parties. It’s like showing up in lingerie when everyone else is dressed in Puritan standard.) Since this is only the 2nd year, things are still just getting started. But, if you’d like to challenge yourself to writing a bit more in November, feel welcome and encouraged to join me. Head over to…
