Britney – A guest review from Mr. D (with interjections from Brigit)

First thoughts… Note: We were provided this product free from Tantaly for our honest and unbiased review. We were not paid for this review, beyond the free product. Product link When we took Britney out of the box, there was little material smell (less, even, than Rico), and it had a little mold release agent on the surface, giving it a greasy feel. Brittany is pretty hefty, but unlike Rico, she has an internal structure. The structure can be felt if you squeeze or grab it hard enough, but it is in no way obtrusive. I would liken it to bones in an actual woman. It is exceptionally well-made, with…

    Rico: Our New Sex Doll

Oh, Rico. I would have passed you by in a bar, told you no if you’d tried to pick me up in the supermarket…I mean…you’ve got lovely 16-pack abs, and you’re all sorts of soft a squishy, but the lack of a head…or legs…or even a back? Well…not really my type. So, yeah, I never thought I’d be interested in someone like you. But when Tantaly offered me a free ride, I figured, what the hell, right? I’ll try most anything once. Of course, it started with a contact on my blog…a request for a review. I’d never heard of Tantaly, but I’ve been out of the review biz for…

    Tell Me What You Want

I’ve been reading a rather interesting study on American sexual desire titled Tell Me What You Want: The Science of Sexual Desire and How it Can Help You Improve Your Sex Life by Justin Lehmiller, PhD. There are 8 intriguing chapters in this book, and since fantasy is at the root of our sex therapy work right now, I think it might be useful to take this one a chapter at a time and do a bit of personal reflection on it. Chapter One This chapter is mainly about the survey that Lehmiller bases much of his theories on. It’s a valuable chapter, though, as it clearly states his definition…

The Erotic Book Club: March 2021

Scroll down for the discussion questions and my end-of-the-month thoughts on the book. Well, after last month’s disappointment, I went for something light and romantic for March. This month, it’s a trilogy of short novellas by two different writers. The first of the series, The Irishman, is by Elisa Leigh. The second two are by M.K. Moore (I couldn’t find her author page, but here she is on Goodreads). These novellas are of the romance sub-genre #instalove – and while likely a bit cheesy and predictable, I often find these types of stories to be positive and uplifting, which is perfect for the earliest of spring. These novellas are inexpensive,…

The Fantasy Box (an intimate review)

(Spoilers ahead. If you are planning on purchasing The Fantasy Box, you might want to wait to read this.) So our sex therapist suggested we subscribe to The Fantasy Box, and we finally got our first one a few weeks ago. You can select a basic, mid-range (the one we chose), or deluxe box, which are priced accordingly. You answer several questions in the process of sign up, to ensure proper sizing, themes, and content. And the boxes come to you in a particular order. The box arrived quickly, in discrete packaging, and of course, when we tore right into it. But the box is set up to introduce you…

Erotic Book Club – February 2021

I’m going to heat it up a bit this month with the first book from Penelope Sky’s 6 book series: Synopsis: I owe him a debt. A big one. The payment can’t be settled with money or favors. He only wants one thing. Me. Every action gets a reward. A button. Once I fill his jar with three hundred and sixty-five buttons, he’ll let me go. He’ll let me walk away. But I have to earn every single one. By submitting to the darkest, cruelest, and most beautiful man I’ve ever known. ** TRIGGER WARNING ** Dark and possibly disturbing scenes of abuse and punishment. Available for Amazon Kindle $6.99, Audible…

Erotic Book Club – January 2021 Discussion

My January 2021 selection for the Erotic Book Club was: Bridgerton: The Duke & I by Julia Quinn (book #1 of a 9 book series) Amazon’s synopsis: By all accounts, Simon Basset is on the verge of proposing to his best friend’s sister—the lovely and almost-on-the-shelf—Daphne Bridgerton. But the two of them know the truth—it’s all an elaborate ruse to keep Simon free from marriage-minded society mothers. And as for Daphne, surely she will attract some worthy suitors now that it seems a duke has declared her desirable. But as Daphne waltzes across ballroom after ballroom with Simon, it’s hard to remember that their courtship is a sham. Maybe it’s his devilish…

Erotic Book Club – The January 2021 Selection

I was originally going to choose a different book (don’t worry…I just put it off until February), until I found out about this new Netflix series, Bridgerton. I’m always slightly behind the times when it comes to television shows, and I rarely watch anything simply for my own benefit. But this one sounds delicious. I’ve always been a fan of period dramas, and if a little sexy intrigue is mixed in, well…all the better, I say! I’m sort of a stickler for reading things before I watch their film or television adaptation, so I decided I’d better rush and get this one on the calendar so I can watch the…
