    Waiting

We spend a lot of time waiting for each other. In the Fall, my focus shifts, and He waits for me. At first, patiently. But then, it often grows into anxiety, and impatience, disappointment, and then depression. By mid-November, when I’m coming back to land, I find that I am now waiting for Him. In my own view, I have a dozen draws on my attention. I’m a wife. I’m a mother. And in my work, I serve dozens of people…even hundreds at times. I have friends to hang out with on Friday nights. I have parents. I both gain and lose energy from each of these sources. And I…

    #UnwrapMe (a preview of what’s to come)

Part of my December plans include a little photo project called #UnwrapMe. The gist is this: I’ll take a photo of me fully clothed (i.e. wrapped) and share it to Twitter in the morning. I’ll then either post period photos of myself with less and less covering me, down to my sexy undies (I’ve washed them all, so I’m ready for the month), until I’m naked. I’ve been out of the blogging habit, but this is an easy project that will tie my social media account to my blog a bit more. The original photo will show on Twitter, but the nudes will only be available on the blog. I’ll…

    A Stolen Moment

I grip the front of his flannel shirt, the softness of the fabric juxtaposed against the solidity of his chest beneath, and push…hard. He falls back, bouncing a bit as he lands, his back thudding against bales stacked behind. Hastily, I pull my skirt up and brace myself against the cold winter air. Even in the barn, it’s so frigid I can see my breath, so I waste no time. He’s down, and I am on him, straddling him, grimacing as I give all my weight to the painful points of hay sticking out from the bale. Leaning into it, I gasp, and then settle, grabbing his plaid-covered shoulders to…

    The Submissive’s Advent Calendar

I’ve been out of the blogging habit, but true to my cycle, it is nearly December, and the itch to write is building again. Things have settled at work, routines have been created, and I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the 2021 tunnel. I’ve even gotten Flash Fiction Friday back up and running, and I’ve submitted a Christmas-themed story to Tantalizing Tales. I even made the November cut-off with a piece of supernatural erotica. I’m working on my new theme for the year: Do less, better. In response, I’ve simplified my blog, pared down my projects. What you see is what you get. The only meme…

    Flash Fiction Friday #14

(free image/source: upsplash.com) I’ve been a very bad blogger this week. But, while I have not posted, even for my own challenge, I have been writing something new for Medium that I will post here later in December once it has been published. It’s a Christmas tale, and I think it might be fairly good. I bowed out on Erotic Blog Posting Month (also my own creation). But, meh. It’s just one more thing that reminded me I need to do less…better. Which leads me to this week’s Flash Fiction Friday! Today we are having our first professional family photos in something like 1o years. We’re going with flannel and…

    The Island Inside

Light flares behind his eyelids, and the ground shakes, debris raining down like meteors. The explosions deafen him, muffling the sounds of battle. Senses overloaded, he folds in on himself, finding an island inside his mind. She is there, lying naked on the hot, white sand, her tan skin glistening in the sun. She is always there, when he closes his eyes like this, her round breasts heavy, perfect teardrops that fill his hands…nipples pressed, like beads, against his palms. She moans as he squeezes and presses hard against her, straddled above her, his weight suspended on contracted thighs. If he dies, he wants this to be his last thought.…

    #loveletter 7

7 Like lyrics we’ve heard a million times, we find the parts we know by heart, and sing out loud, our bodies and voices increasing in volume. We revel in these moments. And when we hit the parts we’re unsure of, we mumble our way through, hum, or make up the words, until we circle our way back to the chorus. We’ve yet to stop singing, because this is our song.
