Erotic Journal Challenge

Is masturbation selfish?

Welcome to The Erotic Journal Challenge! If you’ve never participated, make sure to glance at the rules.

This week, share your opinion:

Is masturbation selfish?

I recently read a post that posited that if you are in a relationship, masturbation is selfish, because it takes sexual energy away from the person you should be dedicating it to. Hmmm… I was intrigued by the topic, so I figured I would send it out to you for consideration. What do you think?

NOTE: Please take a moment to read the rules. The Erotic Journal Challenge encourages writers to really dig deep and share some pretty personal stuff. So I want everyone to know that they are welcome and that this is a judgement-free zone. Writers are safe to share their beliefs and experiences. Journaling is a way to learn and grow and question and change, and we should all feel safe to explore ourselves without fear.

You can also see upcoming prompts/topics on the main #EroticJournalChallenge page.

Note: You don’t have to follow the prompt. If you have an introspective, reflective, personal narrative post that you want to share, it can be about any topic.

AND, SINCE I’M A DUMBASS AND DIDN’T POST THE LINK-UP…I’M RUNNING THIS PROMT FOR AN ADDITIONAL WEEK.

It’s hard to run things when I’m on vacation, mostly because I stop paying attention and following routines. I lose days and forget what time it is. Everything is upside down and backwards.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. Hi Brigit. Have I used the wrong prompt as I can’t see where to add the link. Maybe I am not on the current one. missy

  2. I would not argue that this is an absolutely unfounded statement. But like everything in the world (except for the zebra), there is no only black or white. Situations are different. It is possible that someone does not have a partner. What then?
