What are your thoughts on gender and sexual identity?
Welcome to The Erotic Journal Challenge! If you’ve never participated, make sure to glance at the rules.
This week, consider your thoughts on sexual identity and gender.
Take it any direction you’d like, but here are some questions that might help to get the thoughts flowing:
How do you feel about gender roles as they apply to you?
Do you believe in gender and sexuality scales?
Labels?
How were you taught or guided as a young person to embrace sexual identity and/or gender? (Or how do you guide your own children?)
How has culture changed in regard to sexual identity and gender? And how has this affected you?
What gender role(s) or sexual identity(/ies) are you most comfortable with? How does this affect your relationships?
Do you ever step out of your preferred roles/identities? When? Why? How does it make you feel?
NOTE: Please take a moment to read the rules. The Erotic Journal Challenge encourages writers to really dig deep and share some pretty personal stuff. So I want everyone to know that they are welcome and that this is a judgement-free zone. All writers are safe to share their beliefs and experiences. Journaling is a way to learn and grow and question and change, and we should all feel safe to explore ourselves with fear.

You can also see upcoming prompts/topics on the main #EroticJournalChallenge page.
Note: You don’t have to follow the prompt. If you have an introspective, reflective post that you want to share, it can be about any topic…or no topic at all.
If you are looking for a different challenge, try 30 Dirty Questions! You can link your responses for that here, too.
Head on in to the link party to share your posts or read what others have shared (link-up is open from Sunday to Sunday, noon/PST):

My gender identity is clearly defined and has never raised any doubts in me, which I am incredibly happy about.

Now there are so many options for gender identity that I still have not fully understood them.
