    The Stranger (part 5)

This is an interactive story. I’ll be writing short bits and then asking for input from readers about where it should go next. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 It was cluttered. That was the first thing she noticed about his apartment. But it was a clutter that felt…right somehow…comfortable. And immediately she felt at home and infused with curiosity. She felt somewhat like Alice, heading into the rabbit hole, so many things to draw her attention, but always that underlying feeling of “but shouldn’t I be getting home?” Emily realized with a start, though, that no one was waiting for her. She was free to be and…

    Date Night & Sex Therapy

I came home from work on Friday (a bit early, which was a nice way to end my week), greeted my Husband. He greeted me back, and before I could sit down or begin futzing around the house, as is my usual habit, He told me to follow Him into the bathroom. Instantly, my brain shifted from work mode to submissive mode. (Funny how all it takes is a command…a look…a tone or inflection, at least when we’re in tune with each other.) He directed me to lay down near the bathtub (I thought to myself, this is an odd place to fuck…but okay), close my eyes, and spread my…

  • Books & Reading,  Tell Me Something True

What was the last thing you read?

And onto the 3rd “Tell Me Something True” question! As always, you can keep it light and simple, short and sweet, or take this one for a long drive and dig in deep. You can head down a sexy road, or keep this one safe for work. It’s totally up to you! The goal is simply to get to know one another better. The question is: What was the last thing you read? (And what’s currently in your TBR pile? Maybe take a picture of your book piles/shelves?) CLICK HERE TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS/RULES. You can also see future prompts on the main #tellmesomethingtrue site. Link-ups open from Saturday to Saturday…

    Misconceptions

This week’s #EroticJournalChallenge prompt is: What do you think is the biggest misconception about (insert your kink or sexual interest here)? CLICK HERE TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS/RULES You can also see upcoming prompts on the main #EroticJournalChallenge site. Note: You don’t have to follow the prompt. If you have an introspective, reflective post that you want to share, it can be about any topic…or no topic at all.  Highlighted Post: MrsK Exposed This post covers an impressively vast amount of territory when it comes to kink, and I appreciated the vulnerability here as she questioned her own relationship and her writing about that on her blog. In fact, all of the…

    Music to Fuck To

I honestly love pretty much all types of music, depending on the situation (aside from certain kinds of angry rap and heavy metal, or experimental jazz and new age that I can’t wrap my head around). My truck radio is tuned to the local country station. I tend to prefer it because the songs tell stories and are often romantic, and I’m a sucker for a love story. But, if I’m working out, I like upbeat modern dance/club music or hard rock (Disturbed/Tool) because I find it motivating, and it gets my pulse going. For writing or working, I have to go with something that doesn’t have words, as I’m…

    Tell Me What You Want

I’ve been reading a rather interesting study on American sexual desire titled Tell Me What You Want: The Science of Sexual Desire and How it Can Help You Improve Your Sex Life by Justin Lehmiller, PhD. There are 8 intriguing chapters in this book, and since fantasy is at the root of our sex therapy work right now, I think it might be useful to take this one a chapter at a time and do a bit of personal reflection on it. Chapter One This chapter is mainly about the survey that Lehmiller bases much of his theories on. It’s a valuable chapter, though, as it clearly states his definition…

    Two Truths and a Lie

We’re going to do this “two truths and a lie” style…for fun, and in honor of this week’s Wicked Wednesday prompt. Below, I have described three possible scenarios. Two of them are situations I’d love to play out with my Dom, and one is not. Which do you think is the “lie”? One I come home from work to find a dress, stockings, and heels put out for me to wear, along with a note that says be ready in 30 minutes. When I pick up the dress, I find a remote control wearable vibrator, a butt plug, and tiny nipple clamps underneath. The night consists of visiting several different…

Aiming to Belong Instead of Trying to Fit In

I very much resist when people try to put me in a box…label me…tell me what I can or can’t or should or shouldn’t be. It brings the rage monster out in me. (Unless, of course, it’s my Husband…and it’s related to our D/s relationship…but that’s a whole different subject, entirely.) And it doesn’t need to be direct. It can be an indirect implication set by society or a group or an individual. You’re a ________, so you should be like this. This is how you should ________. Be friends with these people…but not these ones. Eat this…don’t eat that. Like this. Don’t like this. Believe this. Censor yourself to…

    The Stranger (part 4)

This is an interactive story. I’ll be writing short bits and then asking for input from readers about where it should go next. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 The inside of the old theatre had been completely redone since she’d visited last. The red velvet chairs and curtain now shone brightly and promised plushness upon touch, and private theatre boxes had been installed along each side, which made it look much more upscale. “This way, Miss. Watch your step.” Emily appreciated his use of “Miss” rather than “Ma’am,” a term which always made her skin crawl. “Ma’am” threw her age in her face, but “Miss” allowed her to remain…

    The Sweet Spot

*This image was originally created for #boobday and Lingerie is for Everyone. Well, it looks like #boobday may have imploded, which makes me sad. Violet Fawkes is an amazing writer, and I’m sad to see her go (if indeed that is her decision). It means the end of Lingerie is for Everyone, too. Which is also sad. But then, social media eats people. I’ve seen a lot of casualties of this over my blogging years, especially in the last year. I guess that’s what happens when things become bigger. Take a look at any city. As it grows…the problems within it do, too. That’s just human nature. Various opinions lead…
