I’ve written plenty of times about turn-ons and turn-offs, so I thought I’d just do a quick brainstorm list of the things that turn me on and turn me off (because, of course, these things can change with time). I gave myself the length of one TV show to come up with the list, to make sure I didn’t think too deeply. Often I think the ideas that come to mind first say more about our true feelings than those we contemplate for hours.
Turn ons:
1.blue and green eyes
2.intelligence
3.dominance
4.just the right scent/just the right amount
5.a muscular physique (on a man)
6.bigger guys
7.bald guys
8.facial hair
9.hero types (cowboys, soldiers, police officers)
10.men in uniform
11.guys who cook and know wine
12.dads…(you know the type – DILFs)
13.curves (on a woman)
14.a nice smile
15.full, bow lips
16.cleavage
17.kissing
18.massage
19.humor
20.flirtation
21.the ability to hold a thoughtful conversation
22.romance
23.grand gestures
24.intellectual conversation
25.a single flower (especially a daisy – my favorite)
26.soft kisses all over my body, slowly making their way to…
27.being listened to
28.sensory deprivation
29.physical touch
30.a partner who helps carry the load
Turn offs:
1.arrogance
2.sloppiness
3.laziness
4.ignorance
5.meanness
6.pushiness
7.drunkenness
8.dishonesty
9.bigotry
10.disrespect
What would be on your list? What would be on your lover’s list? I dare you to share. And I dare you to ask your partner…it could lead to a rather sexy conversation.
A great list there, and I see quite a number that would be on my list too, a list I definitely have to make. I will put this on my ‘to do’ list and share when I am ready 🙂

I started the list, sort of feeling guilty…like it was a lazy response to the prompt, but then I found myself having to really think about what it is that turns me on. Some things change with time, but other things have been and will remain on that list for years. It’s a good exercise. And it took me longer than I thought it would.
#19 for sure — humor is probably my #1 turn-on.

This is a great idea for the prompt. I think it is really useful to think about what Turns you on and off and harder to do than you first think. It is something I need to try at some point I think. Missy x
