Brigit's Favorite Things,  February Photofest 2020

My Favorite February Photofest Images (week 3)

Month-long memes can be tough to keep up with. I’ve struggled to come up with new content, and now that we are down to the last few days, I’m honestly running out of steam. It’s also tough to keep up with all the great posts from others who are playing along. I’ve managed to do it, but I have to admit that I am looking forward to the slower pace of March. I’ve had little time to actually write this month, as I’ve been so focused on the images. It’s fun to have a new focus from time to time, and it’s turning out that I will likely have a new focus each month, either because of these month-long memes or because of a theme I have imposed on myself.

Where the blog is headed over the next few months:

January was January Jumpstart (hosted by Violet Fawkes). I managed 16 posts. I used this as a time to kind of figure out my writing rhythm for the year and sort out my schedule and priorities, accepting the fact that it’s going to change from month to month as my son’s sports change and as my own work schedule demands more or less of me.

February has been February Photofest (hosted by Molly Moore). I have not missed a day yet…and I don’t plan to. I’ve really stretched myself this year, showing more of myself than I normally do. I’ve been pretty pleased with the outcome…which is crazy, because I only decided to get involved at the last minute.

March – I’m going to get myself back on a sustainable writing schedule, focusing on my own blog features (Mindfulness Monday, Lessons from the Mat) and getting back into my submissive journal and some fiction writing. I’m planning to bring back some old stories and sort them out for my podcast (which I have been sorely neglecting) – Brigit’s Erotic Bedtime Stories. Our D/s life has a been a bit out of sorts lately, so we are both going to be putting in added effort to get ourselves back on track. I’m sure I’ll have some posts about that.

April is National Poetry month, so I’ll be doing a theme for that…re-posting some early poetry from the blog that most people never read, as I had such a small following back then.

I’m not sure what will come after that, but that’s where the blog will be headed over the next few months.

my fave photos of the week:

Trust Yourself to the Water & Darkness – Little Switch Bitch (some very lovely black and whites…she always shares beautiful images)

Too many nets – Sassy Cat (I love the neon colors…and those shoes! Meow!)

Purple’s Gem so often hits my bottons with his images…this week is no exception: Wanted

Cherry Waves – I love when there are multiple perspectives in a photo…so much to look at (Love is a Fetish)

Surrender – Considering Cuntella (but, oh…those eyelashes…)

Missy (Focused & Filthy) has an amazing eye: Striped

I’m loving The Other Livvy’s movie poster remakes, but this view of her behind is just soooo…. Sequins

How did Marie Rebel know that red is my favorite color? Love is a War

A gorgeous album cover recreation from Exposing 40 – Gold Against the Soul

D/scovering Kink – A Hand to Guide (there is, indeed, a heightened level of power discord when one party is clothed and the other naked and vulnerable)

The Artful Muse is so beautiful in black and white (I’m sure she’s just as perfect in color…) – Lace

Skiphopsexflop – This site is new to me, but she does have some very unique lingerie in colors I would normally shy away from – february photofest 20

bluesubmission – such a beautiful hazy tangle of limbs and kisses – Tangled Kiss. I also really liked Feminine Exposure…such a strong image.

a Sad Goodbye:

I was sad to see that kisungura of My Controlled Ascent is leaving her blog. I’ll miss her writing and her amazing images, but we all have our reasons to be (or not be) here. I wish her well.
