FPF Day 6 – I gave up discomfort long ago
Several years ago, I made one single New Year’s Resolution…to stop wearing things that are uncomfortable. Of course, I make the occasional exception for special circumstances: heels, garters, sexy lingerie, undergarments that suck everything in. But, most days, I’m unwilling to live in anything but comfort…at work, at home, while traveling. And that includes my bras and panties. I traded out all of my cute (uncomfortable) bras and underwear for simple matching sets in basic white, black, and nude. They don’t show under my clothes, they don’t have wires or elastic that cut into me anywhere. And while they may not make me feel sexy, they do make me feel comfortable. And that is more important to me most of the time.
I was inspired to do this photo/theme because of the Violet Fawkes’s “Not Sexy” post about her old bra…the one she falls back on when she hasn’t done the laundry, the one without wires or tight elastic, and the one that “asks nothing of you.” I’m happy to say that all of my underwear now fall into this category.
(Don’t worry…I still have a special drawer full of cute, uncomfortable lingerie. How else would I participate in Lingerie is for Everyone?)

One of the joys of working at home is that I rarely put a bra on most day, the down side is that when I do I find the hugely uncomfortable

I never wear a bra at home. And I envy those who work from home (for more reasons than that).
