So, I had a busy weekend off and didn’t get around to publishing my #S.O.S.S. post. I had a few links saved, since I do this throughout the week, so rather than try and catch up on all my weekly reading before I send this out, I’m just going to post it as is. There’s so good stuff here, even if it isn’t as much as I wanted to include.

First of all, I’m really loving the Erotic Journal Challenge posts! I’m so happy that the prompts are allowing people to create such amazing content. Plus, I’m getting to know some of these bloggers even better.

Recently, Mr. D told me that he may be purchasing tickets for Eroticon! It isn’t for sure, yet, because we have a few job-related issues to take care of first – namely getting the time off approved. But, once that is done, I’ll be able to make the announcement! I can’t wait to meet some of the talented writers I’ve been reading for so many years, and some of those that are newer to me.

Anyhow, onto this week’s favorites:

The Sex Swing- in 5 Acts (of the Senses)

E.L. Byrne commented that maybe she hadn’t followed the idea of “journaling” correctly with this one, but I just loved it! I, for one, do not believe there is a right or wrong way to journal your thoughts and feelings or to write about experiences. This seemed perfect to me…poetic, sensual, erotic…HOT!

[Sexuality] Discovering My Sexual Self

Floss has taken the challenge by the horns…as a REAL challenge. And I love what she is sharing! I feel like I’m really getting to know here, and to me, that’s the whole point of confessional writing…to know thyself better and to divulge what you learn so that others may learn more about you and themselves at the same time. It leads to connection, and I can think of no better human undertaking.

This year, I am not taking part in the 2019 Smut Marathon…BUT, I’m excited for the participants of this year’s competition! Make sure to follow along!

Blog Spotlight: Queerer Journey

This blog is new to me, but I knew after reading just a few posts that I needed to become a follower! I love to learn about people with very different experiences and backgrounds from mine, especially when the person can write in a way that makes me feel like we have something in common. @RaoulDuke223 definitely makes this happen. He describes the blog as “A discussion of mid-life queer discovery and various shenanigans and smut en route.”

Here are a few recent posts of his that have caught my eye:

On Discovering Queerness in Later Life

Fishnets and Fancy Free(time)

On Fucking and Being Fucked

    1. Excellent! I always love when something I do for myself can benefit others and create a sense of sharing and connection!

  1. Bless you! Thank you so much for including my post. I am loving the challenges you are presenting us with. Journalling has never been something I can motivate myself to do very often, or with any regularity, so having someone else prompt the journaling is perfect for me 🙂 I’m really looking forward to seeing not only what the future prompts are, but what thoughts they inspire when I write for them. Thanks again for inviting us to join in with you xxx
