Top 3 of the Week
https://fireandhoney.wordpress.com/2018/07/09/yours/
This one is short and powerful. Cutting, from the male perspective…which is not something I’ve seen a whole lot of. Brilliant writing, from Violet Fawkes of Fire and Honey.
I have gone back and read this story several times, but finally had to cut myself off (pun sort of intended) because it slayed me emotionally…and since I’ve been a bit low in the mire lately myself, I needed to find something more uplifting to read. But, seriously…Bravo! on this one.
Cara Thereon knocks it out of the park again with this disturbing tale. What happens when your body betrays you and likes the terrible things being forced upon it?
Both of these stories were hard to read. And we must all have been in a mood to write them, since several of the pieces that intrigued me this week were dark and powerful and dealt with self-harm or harm inflicted by others. Humans are conundrums, and we don’t always make sense, even to ourselves. I appreciate it when writers try to bridge the gap between logic and subconscious…or even deeper, to where thought is useless because body has taken over.
The third item on my list is Smut Marathon round 6. The 25 stories in this round of applause, and a few deserve a standing “O.” Tomorrow, my feedback post will go live, so stay tuned. There were four stories in particular that really amazed me, and I’ve taken quite a bit of time to explain why.

Great post, valid even though you had to keep it short.
